Joining
the CCBA has many benefits for people
interested in beekeeping. Through our monthly meetings at the West
Chester Borough Hall and at the Stroud Preserve, where we maintain CCBA
hives, we gather to share our collective experience with managing hives,
coping with various challenges, discovering effective ways to optimize our
honey harvest, preparing for seasonal changes, etc. Beekeepers come from
diverse backgrounds and our meetings provide opportunities to socialize
and support each other in our efforts with honeybees.
The CCBA also sponsors educational presentations and an annual seminar to educate the public about the invaluable role of honeybees in pollination and the production of hive products, including honey, beeswax, pollen, and propolis.
Membership in the CCBA also provides a monthly
newsletter of the latest happenings in our club, including upcoming
meetings, helpful hints, summaries of new information, and topical
discussions. Annual dues for CCBA membership are only $8.
[We encourage CCBA members to join the Pennsylvania State Beekeepers
Association (PSBA), which can be contacted directly through
pabee@epix.net.
We no longer collect dues for PSBA.]
